Passed away peacefully in her home town of Greymouth on July 6, 2019, aged 86. Loved wife of the late Harry Van Looy, loved mother of Dutchy, Annie, Phil, and the late Tina, loved nana and mum of Katrina Ward, Sarah Conroy, and Daniel Van Looy. Messages to 98 Domett Esplanade, Cobden 7802. A Funeral Service for Theresa will be held in the William Sampson Memorial Chapel, Tainui Street on Wednesday at 1pm followed by cremation here on the Coast at the Westland Crematorium.

I worked with Theresa at Kings Hotel in the 70’s and 80’s. I was at school and later at uni and worked in the dining room during he holidays. I would have attended her funeral but am presently overseas. I really liked her and respected her. She suffered terrible tragedy in her life time but was always ready with a smile. She was so kind to her grandchildren after they lost their mum. She was a legend in her time and please pass on my condolences to her family. RIP with her beloved Harry.
