Passed away peacefully on 29th April 2018 at Christchurch Public Hospital with her family by her side, aged 82. Dearly loved wife of the late Gerard (Gerry), dearly loved sister of the late Joyce Stanton, adored aunty of Malcolm & Lucia Stanton, Christine & Des Keenan, Judith & Frans Dellebeke, and John & Yvonne Stanton, adored great-aunty of Hamish Bruce, Elliot Bruce, Mary Bruce, Luke Keenan, Claire Keenan, Scott Stanton, Martyn Stanton, Stanley Stanton, and Joseph Stanton, a very special great-great-aunty of Ben Bruce, Sophie Bruce, Alex Ison, Rosa Ison, and James Haifer, a special god-mother of Phillip Wilkins, and a very special cousin, and friend of many. A Funeral Service to celebrate Joan’s life will be held in Holy Trinity Anglican Church,Tainui Street, Greymouth on Wednesday at 2pm, Joan will then be laid to rest with Gerry at the Memorial Park Cemetery Gladstone.
