Born March 8th, 1935 in Denmark. Passed away peacefully at her home in Cobden with family and friends on January 26th, 2019, aged 83. Loved wife of John (Greymouth) and the late Kaj Jensen, caring mother and mother-in-law of Benny Jensen & Alison (Jacksons), Tommy Jensen (deceased) & Diane (Picton), and Dan Jensen (deceased) & Coral (Blenheim), much loved grandmother of Kaj Harry & Amy Jensen, Jacob Jenson, Ethan Jensen & Nadine, and Anna Jensen & Geoffrey, loving great grandmother of Benny-Wayne, Kailee, Tane, Leroy, and Kahu, and a special friend of Tressa. A Funeral Service to celebrate Irene’s life will be held in the William Sampson Memorial Chapel, Tainui Street, Greymouth on Thursday at 10am followed by cremation here on the Coast at the Westland Crematorium.
