John was a true gentleman, so loved and cherished by all his family , also a respected man to all his friends and those who knew him.
When you lose someone you love it leaves a big hole in your heart. ?❤️
Deepest sympathy in the passing of John. Jim worked at the Power Board for many years with John and valued his friendship. They always enjoyed a catch-up whenever they saw one another. We are presently in Queensland on holiday and won’t be able to attend his service.
To John’s Family
We offer our heart condolences at this sad time of his passing.
We spent a lot of time together in our teenage years…..we found we had similar interests. I admired his skill in model making and engineering ability.
Being of the right age in 1950 we were called into Compulsory Military Training for 14 weeks…didn’t want to go but later we didn’t want to leave!!
John and I were great mates and carried that friendship on through many long phone calls..recalling the history of our times etc. John and dear Kath were very kind and hospitable friends so sadly missed by my wife colleen and myself
Very sad to learn of the passing of Mr Devine (even as I type that I hear him say “call me John”) such a beautiful, kind, Gentleman. I will miss visiting him and getting those terrific hugs of his.
My thoughts are with all of his Family at this very sad time.
Love you Mr Devine
