Passed away peacefully at his home in Paroa with his loving family by his side, in his 77th year. Deeply loved husband of the late Jan, dearly loved dad and father in-law of Michelle & Grant Thomas, Paul & Cheryl, Arron & Gayleen, Nicky & Pete Hamilton, and Lisa & Fiona, adored pop of Micheal, Sinead, Luke, Michael N, Alexandra, Cameron, Shaquelle, Jessica, Jaden, and Hunter, loved great pop of Brooke, and Bree, loved brother and brother in-law of Desmond and the late Keiko, Anthony & Sue, and the late Vincent, loved brother in-law of Bill & Gladys Barrow, Norma (deceased) and Alan Child, John & Margaret Barrow, and the late Annette, and Ann Barrow, and a loved uncle, cousin and friend of many. A Funeral Mass for Hughie will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Catholic Church, High Street Greymouth on Friday at 1pm.
Hughie will then be laid to rest with Jan at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Gladstone.
