Passed away unexpectedly in Christchurch Public Hospital on April 15, 2024, aged 84.
Devoted soulmate of his wee mate and wife Margie, much loved dad and father-in-law of Warren & Leeann (Motueka),
Michele & Russell Ilton (Kumara), Grant & Deb (Runanga), and Tracy & Stephen (Christchurch),
treasured Pop and Grandpop of his 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, loved brother and brother-in-law of Dorris & the late Alan Wright,
Valda & Jim Blair, and the late Elva Prendergast, Shirley Crook, and Ron & Isobell Crook,
loved brother-in-law of Ron & Shirley Marsden,and a dearly loved uncle, cousin and friend of many.

A Service to celebrate Rex’s life will be held in the Reefton Workingmen’s Club, 55 Bridge Street on Friday at 1pm. 
Rex will then be laid to rest at Burkes Creek Cemetery.
